Eucalyptus Shower Pucks

Eucalyptus oil is used most often used internally  in the form of a steam inhalation. When its inhaled, it relaxes the mucous membranes and promotes drainage from congested sinus PASSAGES . It also  reduces spasms of the bronchial tubes which helps to suppress cough. may be effective in helping people manage the symptoms of respiratory conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, and the common cold.

Eucalyptus essential oil has been found to induce a soothing effect on the mind, allowing for greater ability to cope with negative emotions as well as help in alleviating anxiety, stress, or mental fatigue. 

 

Ingredients

You can also add oils such as peppermint, or rosemary for an even more powerful puck

Pre-heat oven to 250°F (121°C)

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, add baking soda and half of your essential oils.
  • Add water 1 tablespoon or so at a time this ensures that your mixture get s to the right consistency.
  • Mix well.
  • Add mixture to lined muffin tins or soap molds. If you are using a plastic mold, you will need to pack it tightly and then gently remove the puck onto a baking sheet.
  • Put them in the oven for 20-minute increments until the pucks are hard.
  • This process could take 40 minutes to an hour.
  • Let them Cool completely, then add the remaining essential oil drops.

To use: Place on the floor of your shower out of the way of the spray water. The moisture in the shower will slowly dissolve the puck and provide Aromatherapy.
